If [Paper Source] is set to [Auto], perform the following procedure regardless of the setting for this option. Whenever the setting for [Output Size] is different from the paper size specified in the [Register Paper Size in Cassettes] dialog box, the paper loaded in the manual feed slot is used for printing. If there is no paper in the manual feed slot, load the appropriate paper in the paper cassette and specify the appropriate paper size in the [Register Paper Size in Cassettes] dialog box, or load paper in the manual feed slot.

[Advanced Settings] Dialog Box
The following dialog box is displayed by clicking [Advanced Settings] in the [Finishing Details] dialog box. This dialog box allows you to specify the finishing details.

Contents Specify paper source or paper type according to the settings selected in [Paper Selection]. - [Auto] Automatically selects the paper source according to the size or type of paper. - [Manual Feed Slot] /[Cassette 1]/ [Cassette 2] (Displayed only when the optional paper feeder is installed) Feeds paper from the selected paper source. - Plain Paper (60 - 90 g/m2) - Heavy Paper (91 - 163 g/m2) - Envelope - Label - Transparency You can specify the type of paper. 2-3) It is not recommended to print the other side of previously printed paper. Contents Selecting the appropriate mode from [Objective] for the contents of the document allows you to perform optimum printing. Selecting each option in [Objective] displays a comment on the option under the list. To change the printing preferences selected in [Objective] to meet your needs, click [Settings]. Allows you to change the printing preferences in the [Custom Settings] dialog box. Specifies whether to perform color printing or black and white printing. To specify the colors in detail, click [Color Settings] to display the [Color Settings] dialog box. After selecting the [Manual Color Settings] check box, click this button to customize colors.

Printing a Document
If this check box is selected, you can print an adjusted color sample after specifying the settings in the [Color Adjustment] sheet that is displayed when [Color [Print Color Sample] (Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003 Settings] is clicked. [Preview] is printed in the center of the paper, and this is surrounded by images where the only) (See p. 4-68) color tone is changed by 1 unit in each of the corresponding directions.

Using the draft mode for confirming the text and layout
When checking the contents or layout of a document, print in the draft mode if you want to check the text or positions.

The supplied CD-ROM includes the "NetSpot Device Installer", which is a utility that can initialize the settings of a printer connected to the network. The NetSpot Device Installer is software that allows you to easily initialize the settings of printers connected to the network. For more details on NetSpot Device Installer, see "Network Guide".
